Researchers in Shanghai identified a human bacteria linked with obesity, fed it to mice and compared their weight gain with rodents without the bacteria. The latter did not become obese despite being fed a high-fat diet and being prevented from exercising.Peer reviewed research. I expect anti-obesity crusader Erika Stutzman from the Boulder Daily Camera to pick up on this bacteria hypothesis and share it with her readers. That said, it doesn't fit the nanny state narrative of having the government control what we consume does it?
"So why do intelligent people consistently make such a hash of things? Because they are smart enough to talk themselves into anything. Ordinary mortals don’t engage in fancy mental gymnastics to reach conclusions that defy common sense. But intellectuals are particularly prone to this."
